Fairy Dust Teaching Rebrand

Fairy Dust Teaching is a company built on the passion for wonder and magic in early learning, the idea that young children have the right to play, collaborate with others in their learning and dream. They educate teachers in how to facilitate play-based learning in a classroom with their students through online e-courses and workshops.

Sally Haughey is an educator of educators, a pioneer and advocate for child-led education. She has a massive following around the globe and an amazing business, but she came to me because she knew it was time to create a brand identity that did her work justice.

We worked together to understand what really set her apart and it was clear that her brand needed to feel grounded, wise and compassionate – a reflection of the heart of her work with children. The name Fairydust Teaching didn’t do this – it felt light, untethered and ephemeral and it made it hard to communicate the depth of her philosophy and her work with children.

The next step was to determine what a rebrand could look like and we landed on a transition to Autumn. This was a risky move, as she has an incredible community that adores her and her company. However, they understood that there was a bigger picture at play here and that changing the name of her business would be a great way to grow it in the future.

Now, as the new Autumn Teaching, Sally is able to attract even more educators in her online courses and workshops. She has seen a huge increase in revenue, but more importantly she has connected with her audience on an authentic level and is able to communicate the value of their education in a way that inspires and connects them. She is doing some truly extraordinary things and it has been a joy to watch her grow.
