What is a Fairy Wand?

A fairy wand is the primary tool that every Fairy and Anti-Fairy uses to tap into their twinkling magic. It is typically a stick with a star on top and glows brightly when used.

The wand is the primary way for Fairies to grant wishes, teleport, shape-shift, and more. In fact, most episodes feature a scene where the Fairies are using their wands in some fashion. If a Fairy loses their wand, they will not be able to grant a wish or even use their teleportation capabilities, leaving them nearly defenseless.

In the show, the wands also serve as the primary way for Fairies to communicate with one another. The wands will flash and glow to signal that they want to speak with other Fairies or Anti-Fairies in the vicinity. Wands will also flash to warn of danger, such as a sudden shift in the gravitational field.

All Fairies, including Anti-Fairies and pixies, use a variation of what is called “starpiece magic” to make their wands work. Basically, their wands are cell sites that pick up unpolluted energy from the energy field and transmit it to the Fairy’s hands. Their ancient ancestors could channel this raw magic directly through their hands, but modern Fairies can only do it with a wand.

Like most magical items, wands are extremely important to the Fairies and they will take great care of them. They will not let their wands become dirty, for instance, and they will clean them after each use. They will also replace them when they feel theirs are becoming worn out or damaged.

There are a few different types of wands that the Fairies use. Some are very basic, while others are more complex and can perform more advanced functions. Some are even telepathic and can detect the presence of other Fairies or Anti-Fairies nearby.

In addition to their function, the wands are also very beautiful objects. Many are adorned with beads, lace, ribbons, and intricate paper flowers. Others are shaped like stars or even have bells on them!

The wands are also very personal objects. Fairies will often customize their wands to reflect who they are or what they want to do with their magic. They will often decorate the wands with images of their homes, hobbies, or favorite animals. This customization is a form of homage to their creators and helps them feel connected to their wands.

The wand is a very special item to any Fairy, but it is especially important to children as they are growing up. It is during this time that the Fairies hope to instill their own sense of wonder and magic within the children they meet. This can be done by showing them how to create and use their own wands, as well as teaching them the proper etiquette and respect for these magical tools of power. This can help foster a life-long love of magic and the Fairies who create it.
