SkyBlock Fairy Souls Guide

Fairy souls are collectibles that take the form of custom-textured orbs scattered and hidden around parts of SkyBlock. Each is unique and able to be collected only once. Collecting them rewards the player with SkyBlock XP and Storage Backpack slots once exchanged at Tia the Fairy, who can be found in the Wilderness on Hub Island by a sand pond.

A fairy is a mythological being of folklore, legendary origins, and mystery. According to legend, they are benevolent creatures that can bestow gifts, such as beauty or wealth. They may also curse or protect people. Fairies have no fixed physical appearance, but usually are depicted as small humanoid creatures with wings or animal features. They possess magical powers, including the ability to change shape and create illusions, as well as the ability to fly and to transport themselves into fairyland, which resembles pre-Christian abodes of the dead. Fairies are often associated with fertility and love, although they may carry off children and leave changeling substitutes. They have been known to tell fortunes, particularly prophesying at births and foretelling deaths. Many herbs and plants are believed to be potent against fairies, such as yarrow, st. john’s-wort, hawthorn trees, foxglove, and groundsel. Male fairies are believed to be able to communicate with animals, and are feared as sexually dangerous. Female fairies are also known for their propensity to tell fortunes, and may punish those who abuse them with terrible retribution.

The ten Fairy Souls that can be found in the Catacombs are scattered randomly across the dungeon floors, and their coordinates can be found by viewing the “Fairy Souls” Quest Log. There are also two located in the Mushroom Desert, and three can be obtained by accepting the first order from Tia the Fairy in The Garden. A player can keep track of how many unique Fairy Souls they’ve collected by checking their Book and Quill Quest Log in the SkyBlock Menu. The armor will play a distinctive sound when players are near uncollected Fairy Souls, and a list of all collected locations is shown on the Quest Log page.

Once the player has five Fairy Souls, they can be exchanged at Tia the Fairy for SkyBlock XP and Storage Backpack Slots. They can also be gathered through fishing, with the second, ninth, and 24th treasure catches having a 0.5% chance to contain a Fairy Soul. Lastly, they can be fished up in a Fairy Grotto. Players who have collected Fairy Souls are also able to keep track of their progress in the Quest Log, which displays the total number of Fairy Souls found and indicates which islands they came from. Tia will also give the player +10 SkyBlock XP on every couple of Fairy Souls exchanged, and each swap unlocks one additional Backpack Slot.
