Stardew Valley Fairy Dust – How to Craft Instantaneously in Stardew Valley

The recent 1.5 update for Stardew Valley brought in a ton of new content. This includes beach farming, a new villager (Birdie), the Pirate Cove, Dig Site and Volcano Dungeon, and several new crops. It also added a new craftable item that makes crafting instantaneous, Fairy Dust. Fairy Dust is made by the Crop Fairy, a random event that happens at night while players are asleep. She will then fly over a patch of growing crops and apply her magic to make them grow instantly. The amount of crops she will effect is completely random.

While the Crop Fairy is a nice boost to productivity, it can be pretty frustrating when she randomly chooses not to affect your crops at all. It would be great if she always worked, but the fact that she can be so random makes it difficult to rely on her for consistent growth.

Luckily, there are other ways to speed up the crafting process. One of these is by planting the Fairy Rose, a new crop that can be found at the Greenhouse and can be purchased from Pierre’s Store or the Traveling Cart. It can only be planted during Fall and takes 12 days to grow.
